Last week NAFA filed a comment with the Alabama Department of Insurance regarding proposed changes to continuing education requirements. We had suggested that “producers and service representatives be permitted to carry forward up to eight (8) hours of credit in excess of the current biennial period to the next succeeding biennial period.” This suggestion was submitted on October 16. On October 19, we received a response from the DOI that some smaller measure of carry-over already exists, and that they would not be amenable to extending it at this time.
